APEX ramps are built around a proprietary high-density expanded polystyrene structural foam core that supports serious vehicle weight while staying impressively light in the hand. This is not hollow plastic, a thin metal shell, or a gimmick dressed up as shop equipment. The solid closed-cell EPS body distributes load through the full ramp structure, resists water and oil absorption, will not rust, and does not transfer heat like steel.

Each ramp is fully encapsulated in a high-performance polyurea elastomer coating that chemically bonds to the foam core for a tough, flexible outer shell. The micro-textured surface helps grip the tire and the shop floor on concrete, epoxy, painted floors, and typical service bay surfaces. Inside the hook nose, a reinforced insert anchors deep into the structural foam body, creating a secure mechanical connection that seats into the lift slot without relying on a glued-on plate or thin coating layer to stay together.
