Portable Air Coolers

A portable air cooler moves air through or across a cooling medium to provide airflow without a permanently installed HVAC system. Cool Boss Coolee™ products use direct evaporative cooling rather than the refrigeration cycle used by conventional air conditioners.

Evaporative cooling uses water and moving air. As water evaporates, it absorbs heat from the air. A fan then moves that air toward the area where cooling airflow is wanted.

Depending on the model and its operating requirements, Coolee™ can be useful around patios, campsites, tailgates, outdoor recreation, garages, workshops and other open or well-ventilated spaces.

Coolee™ is better understood as a source of directed evaporative airflow than as a replacement for whole-room refrigerated air conditioning. Results depend on the space, airflow, placement and environmental conditions.

Evaporative cooling potential generally decreases as relative humidity rises. Hot, dry conditions typically allow more evaporation than warm, humid conditions.

There is no single temperature reduction that applies in every environment. Cooling potential changes with ambient temperature, relative humidity, airflow, water conditions, placement and the specific cooler being used.

Rechargeable operation is available on Coolee™ products, but battery configuration, runtime and supported charging methods vary by model. Check the individual product specifications for the model you are considering.

Bluetooth audio is available on select Coolee models. Because features can differ across the lineup, confirm the feature list on the individual product page.

Consider where you will use it, how you plan to transport it, desired storage capacity, access to charging, required runtime and which convenience features matter most. Then compare those needs against the specifications of each model.
